An award winning event driven global hedge fund with over $8bn AUM is seeking to add a junior buyside analyst to grow their London based team. Due to strong asset growth throughout 2010, they are looking for a junior analyst to add to their high profile investment business. Reporting directly to the fund manager and with a key seat on the investment committee, you will identify and present key investment proposals.
Suitable candidate for role must have an excellent academic pedigree, and be able to demonstrate strong career trajectory to date. It is likely you will have CFA qualifications, and have currently have a remit to generate investment ideas within event driven sector. Junior candidates currently working within M&A or private equity looking to move into an investment role will be favourable. Excellent fundamental analytic skills, excellent sector knowledge, experience within a buy side institution desirable but not required.
- Have a Strong passion for investing in the European markets
- Have experience as a M&A analyst / associate at a top tier investment bank or;
- Event driven Risk Arb / Merger Arb analyst at another hedge fund / prop desk / buy side house
- Hold an excellent academic record.
- CFA/MBA is desired but not essential.
