This leading independent operational certification firm, within the hedge fund industry, who award certifications on hedge funds that pass due diligence review and meet a benchmark of operational standards are currently looking to recruit. Additionally they offer tailored investor operational due diligence solutions to hedge fund investors including banks, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and fund of funds.

The company invites applications for the position of Analyst to join its team in London.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of operational sound practices within the hedge fund industry. Candidates must:

• Be a Chartered Accountant with at least 2 years’ post qualification experience, gained primarily in the hedge fund industry;
• Demonstrate knowledge of hedge fund strategies and financial instruments, including complex derivatives;
• Understand key operational procedures in the hedge fund industry, including controls over back office settlement and reconciliation, security valuation, compliance and fund structures;
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. The role will require the preparation of detailed, written reports;
• Be well organised and able to work with minimal supervision, assuming responsibility for a number of client engagements and building effective relationships with hedge fund managers, investors and other parties;
• Candidates who hold or have made progress towards additional investment industry qualifications such as the CFA designation will be at an advantage.
