Fund Administrator Full-time

An opportunity to be part of a leading financial administrators, working alongside Hedge Funds/Private Equity and Real Estate Funds. Experience in the market is essential in order to add value to the clients. The candidate will need excellent organisational skills to meet client driven deadlines, and also be comfortable as part of a growing team.

The administrator will be responsible for a range of matters providing administration, management and secretarial services for established and new Private Equity Funds and Real Estate Funds. The administrator will work closely with the Manager or other designated supervisor as part of a team dedicated to providing first class service to their client base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Carrying out the day to day administration of funds
• Maintaining a positive and pro-active relationship with clients, advisers, auditors, various other intermediaries and colleagues
• Manage a number of bank accounts and as such will need to be familiar with banking and payment formatting
• Acting in conformity with all relevant regulatory responsibilities as set out in the FSA Handbook and UK Data Protection Act 1998, together with internal procedures
• Closing new funds
• Performing CDD/KYC checks on investors and related parties
• Satisfying statutory and regulatory requirements, in particular the UK Companies Acts, and FSA regulations for “Unregulated Collective Investment Schemes”
• In addition to the duties listed above, the administrator may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by management.


Technical Knowledge / Skills Required
• Ability to work within a team
• Fund Administration and Cash Management Experience
• Internal systems, controls and procedures
• Ability to use initiative and work independently
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Use of Microsoft word, excel and outlook
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organisation skills - ability to multi-task and re-prioritise tasks to satisfy multiple deadlines.

Minimum Education / Qualifications
• Educated to at least A level (A2) standard. Preference will be given to graduates
• Previous experience is essential
• Ideally 2+ years of private equity / real estate/ trust and company experience. Company Secretarial and Cash Management experience would be an advantage.
