Fund Manager's Assistant Full-time

A dynamic Investment Manager is looking for a Fund Manager's Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the overall operations function and also have good IT skills. Furthermore, the successful candidate will need to have solid product knowledge, particularly in Equities and Derivatives.


Role Requirements

• Preparation of trades; calculating orders and restriction checking prior to passing to the Fund Manager for authorisation
• Monitor execution and settlement of trades
• Maintain all trade records and back up documentation
• Management and update of Portfolio models
• Preparation of bespoke models
• Stock attribution analysis
• Calculation of daily performance
• Maintenance and monitoring of daily cash balances
• Cash Management and implementation of FX forward and spot trades
• Restriction Monitoring
• Providing daily reports to Fund Management teams on performance, cash and positions etc.
• Monitoring portfolios for corporate actions, fund distributions and asset expiry.
• Liaise with a number of in-house departments and third parties with respect to monitoring client portfolios


Skills Required

• Strong academic background and relevant experience in the Investment Management or Investment Banking sector
• Good technical and mathematical skills and have experience in a similar role.
• Should have Excel to VBA macro level and have good knowledge of Factset and Bloomberg for modelling and attribution purposes
• A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have good judgement skills
• Strong communications skills and a methodical approach is essential
• Good interpersonal and written skills and have the ability to explain relatively involved concepts in a clear and concise manner
