My client, a boutique London hedge fund with a focus on absolute return investment management and investment advisory services, is seeking a senior business developer to join their team. The company are a recognised independent alternative asset management firm focusing on global fixed income strategies. The candidate will be responsible for growing the company's assets under management through the sale of their funds to a UK client base. The main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and targeting potential new investors from an institutional and intermediary client base in the UK, predominantly to London based clients
- Developing and enhancing relationships with clients in the UK, including family offices, private clients, wealth managers
- Reporting directly to the CEO to ensure timely updates on the company's business strategy
- Regular travel throughout the UK to attend roadshows and events as required
The ideal candidate for this position will likely demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- A proven track record in selling a range of hedge funds to a client base in the UK, with a focus on global fixed incomes
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of a range of hedge fund strategies
- A background of building and developing relationships with institutional and intermediary clients in the UK with a focus on London accounts
- A pre-existing client base of institutional and intermediary clients in the UK, including family offices, private clients, wealth managers
- Experience of attending external client meetings, consultant meetings and new business presentations
This vacancy offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join an established boutique hedge fund in a senior sales role. The candidate will ideally have a background of selling smaller to medium sized funds to a client base with a focus on London clients.
