Hedge Fund Credit Officer

Global Investment Bank are looking for a Hedge Fund Credit Officer to join there rapid expansion of its Capital Markets Trading and Prime Brokerage activities with Hedge Fund counterparties.
Role Profile:
The role entails contribution to the risk management of a portfolio composed mostly of European Hedge Funds.
Taking ownership and being accountable for the assigned portfolio.
Assessing the counterparty/credit risks attached to the portfolio by reviewing/analysing the counterparty's strategy.
Performance and infrastructure (risk and operations). This includes performing on-site due diligence and conducting.
Undertake market risk analysis of the portfolios in relation with counterparty exposure.
Writing the credit applications and presenting recommendations to the appropriate credit committee.
Establishing the relevant credit parameters for the negotiation of legal documents in close co-ordination with legal department.
Transaction analysis to assess suitability with credit policies and counterparty limits and calculation of initial margin.
Requirements on complex products (Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities).
Developing and implementing risk policies / stress testing tailored to optimal risk management of the hedge fund sector.
Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with Trading and Sales.
Keeping abreast of the industry evolution as well as developments of the individual accounts.
Skills Needed:
A degree in Finance or Quantitative discipline is essential (Masters is preferable).
Experience in investment banking within market risk or counterparty risk/ credit analysis on Hedge Funds/Regulated Funds.
Good understanding of capital markets products and strategies, in particular OTC derivative products, and their Inherent market risks.
Knowledge of derivatives pricing (option pricing theory, stochastic volatility) and market / credit risk methodologies (Greeks, VaR, etc.) is essential.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Strong communication skills for discussions with external (e.g. hedge funds, regulators) and internal clients.
Sound credit judgement, ability to prepare clear and concise recommendations.
Some experience in conducting due diligence with clients, negotiating credit terms within Legal Documentation (ISDA/CSA) and in calculating the risk profile on complex derivatives.
