A recently launched Hedge Fund with AUM of circa $1bn split across a number of funds employing a variety of different strategies is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to work in a fast moving and dynamic environment and requires a proactive and ambitious attitude. Their ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, knowledgeable and hard working.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the NAV sign off a number of funds, with daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly NAVs
• Check and maintain the P&L records of the funds
• Management of relationship with the Administrators
• Maintenance of Sophis and reconciliation of NAV to administrators
• Sit on valuation committee for the funds
• Involvement in the broader operations process
• Compliance: taking on administrative side of compliance role including liaison with compliance consultants
• Assisting with various projects and other ad-hoc tasks

Skills requirements

• Graduate from a finance related degree, possibly a fully or part qualified accountant
• Hedge fund and/or fund administration experience seen as essential
• Clear understanding of trade flow from initial order giving through to settlement
• Strong systems skills would be highly advantageous
• Good organisational and communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to work accurately under pressure of tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
• Enthusiastic and energetic team player
