Funds Group Manager

One of the longest established specialists global fixed income bond managers in the industry delivering on specific global fixed interest investment objectives for our institutional clients. At the heart of our management of Global Fixed Income portfolios lies our specialist knowledge in Developed Market Government Debt, Emerging Market Debt, Global Corporate Debt and High Yield. As of 1st June 2011 managed in excess of USD 45.3 billion, of which Irish pooled funds represent US$3.0 billion.
Institutional pooled funds offer clients a commingled approach to our specialist fixed income skill set. The pooled funds are all domiciled in Ireland and follow the same strategies that we offer in segregated accounts. We anticipate significant growth of our Funds in the future (in particular, creation of more Funds for Multi Manager, third party and other relationships), and have began to put in place the appropriate operational platform to support that growth in business. It is envisaged that this group will become a central clearinghouse for information about Funds, be responsible for the day-to-day work around the Funds, and the services provided by the external Administrator. We are looking to recruit a manager to be responsible for defining, setting up and management of this new function. They will report into the Head of operations.
Responsibilities of the Funds Group Manager will include:
• Process and facilitate subscriptions and redemptions to all funds
• Work on client reporting for the funds.
• Provide knowledge base for consultant, client and prospect inquires
• Aid in trade processing for in-specie transfers and other non-standard transactions
• Assist in maintaining proper documentation for Funds
• Maintain accurate fund accounting books and records.
• Manage the quality of service provided by the appointed 3rd party Administrator
• Attend board meetings as required
• Review and oversee production of financial accounts
Experience
• Broad experience of pooled funds and knowledge key functions -Transfer Agency Services, Fund Accounting, and Custody, ideally gained at a fixed income asset manager/hedge fund manager
• Good technical knowledge of pooled fund structures and especially regulated Irish domiciled UCITS funds
• Thorough understanding of how an NAV is calculated
• Detailed understanding of main securities – (Bond/FFX/ Futures/Swaps and TBA)
• Dealing with senior individuals internally, as well as consultants and service providers
• The candidate must demonstrate delivery of change and procedural improvements in a previous role.

Mature, confident and professional approach to work and a positive “can do” attitude
Ability to operate in an unstructured environment
Self starter with ability to work unsupervised to tight deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to deliver high standards of accuracy
