My client is a well respected and established investment house with a global presence and reputation. A position has arisen for an Equity Portfolio Manager who will mange a number of global equity portfolios spanning a diverse range of strategies including Value, Quality, Blend and Long/Short. In addition to working closely with other senior portfolio managers the role also requires the delivery of a stream of new investment ideas to develop strategies which the individual should be able to research themselves or spec out for the research team.

Essential Skills

Demonstrable ability to articulate and implement. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of company fundamental and market data sources and content, and demonstrate the ability to deliver robust implementations of his/her ideas. He/she will be a self-starting individual with a wide knowledge of global equity markets and investment themes, and the authority and confidence to participate in investment decision-making at a senior level.

The key technologies used by the team are Excel, SQL, VBA and Matlab.

Educated to degree level, probably Master or above and passed or studying for CFA.
