The hedge-fund is a multi-strategy hedge fund investing in a broad range of asset types including equities, options, futures, foreign exchange, bonds, swaps, mortgages and numerous other financial products. The firm is looking to recruit a Specialist to work in the Equities Group within the Operations Department.

Job Function Summary:
As the Senior Operations Specialist you will be responsible for daily reconciliations and ad hoc trade queries revolving around settlement, same day trade matching and broker queries. There will also be occasional project work that will be delegated for completion. You will be reporting to the Director of Equity Operations based in London.

Principal Responsibilities:
Daily trade / cash / position / Market value reconciliations
Interacting with the trading groups and Prime Brokers (PBs)
Cash management between different PBs
Intraday trade monitoring.
Resolving position/Market Value/trade discrepancies
Mitigating risk by ensuring timely completion and reporting of all trade and position breaks on T+1

Qualifications/Skills Required:
A wealth of relevant experience in equity/CFD operations / support
Strong knowledge of financial instruments with emphasis on equities and CFD’s
A working knowledge of futures and options will be an advantage
IAQ level three qualification preferred but not essential
Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Omgeo / CTM / TLM experience an advantage.
Must be able to work independently
