Our client is a leading international hedge fund group.
A position has arisen in their prestigious Mayfair offices for an experienced Compliance Associate to join their growing team. Candidates will need a background of working on a busy compliance desk and have a strong academics (ideally a financial or legal degree)

Requirements/Responsibilities:
Knowledge of insider dealing related issues and restricted list/wall crossing issues; Advise on MNPI
Liaise with New York office on UK and Asia compliance development
Liaise with the New York office in connection with implementing various firm-wide compliance initiatives.
Liaise with outside compliance consultant and regulatory counsel in connection with compliance-related matters.
Assist with organizing insider dealing and anti-money laundering trainings.
Assist with compliance training new employees.
Assist with drafting compliance policies
Advise on and monitor and track use of consultants
Review Firm trading activities
Monitor compliance with Firm’s Code of Ethics
Interface with traders and analysts to answer questions related to firm-wide compliance matters, including, but not limited to, questions related to personal trading, gifts/entertainment, use of consultants policy.

UK/Europe
Analyzing and implementing new FSA-issued and SFC-issued rules and proposals
Provide support in connection with Legal Counsel’s CF10 (FSA-registered compliance officer) and CF11 (FSA-registered money-laundering officer) responsibilities
Assist with submission of applications to FSA for registration and de-registration of employees performing control functions.
Monitoring UK compliance reporting and trading
Knowledge of FSA-related compliance matters
Understanding and implementation of UK and relevant international filing obligations for European jurisdictions.
Knowledge of short sale regulations in UK and other European jurisdictions

Hong Kong/Asia
Monitoring HK compliance reporting and trading
Knowledge of HK SFC-related compliance matters
Assist with submission of licensing and registration with HK SFC of employees performing regulated activities
Understanding and implementation of HK and relevant international filing obligations for Asian jurisdictions.
Knowledge of short sale regulations in HK and other Asian jurisdictions
Assist controller with making periodic filing of HK management company entity financial reports
