RFP Analyst Full-time

Fantastic opportunity to develop and manage the RFP function within the London office of a multi-billion dollar fund. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience in a similar role to take on a new role within a great fund and team.

Job description

• Sole responsibility for working with the Investor Relations department to complete a variety of formal DDQs, RFPs and ad-hoc information requests for existing and prospective investors
• Liaise with senior members of the Finance, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Compliance and I.T. departments internally, and the Fund Administrator externally, to collate, analyze and complete accurate responses to a wide range of questions in a timely manner
• Analyse the existing DDQ/RFP process and assist with the development and implementation of a more efficient and streamlined process for future response provision. This may include the analysis, selection and implementation of relevant software packages (in conjunction with the I.T. department)
• Ensure that all responses are available to the broader Investor Relations department in a clear, concise and accessible format within a centralised repository / directory
• Liaise with the Compliance department and the COO/CEO to ensure that all external communications are approved for distribution
• Monitor hedge fund / asset management industry trends and proactively suggest ways in which the firm can position its DDQ/RFP processes at the forefront of industry best practice
• Assist the London and NY-based Investor Relations department with other duties and special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) / Requirements:

• Prior experience of working in a similar role at either a Hedge Fund, Fund of Funds or traditional Asset Manager – and therefore a good understanding of the different departments within them – is essential
• Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and well organised
• Must demonstrate strong communications skills (verbal and written) and have a professional manner – the successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the firm, including CEO and COO
• Must be capable of quickly integrating into an existing department, and ability to show initiative and work with minimum supervision to the highest standards
• Ability to analyse statistical data
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (an understanding of databases would be advantageous)
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Prior experience with DDQ/RFP software packages is beneficial
• Background in Accountancy is preferable
• Existing knowledge of the broader alternative asset management industry is beneficial
• This is a new role (within an existing department), so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as the role evolves.
